It was in Provence in the 1950s that André  Dessis  first encountered truffles during a visit to the  truffle market in Richerenches , a small village within the Enclave des Papes. He then befriended a  local truffle grower  who introduced him to the art of  truffle hunting  and the famous black gold! From that day forward, and in the years that followed, André decided to fully dedicate himself to the fascinating world of truffles, the famous "  Rabasse  " in Provençal! He acquired a field to plant his own trees and simultaneously launched his own truffle trading business.
